Water-loss cost, as two invoices

Mitigation is equipment × days plus demolition. Reconstruction is a building job. Bundling them makes both harder to check. We do not ship a unit-cost table, because we do not have one we can defend.

Two invoices mitigation, then reconstruction The homepage already teaches this split. Equipment-day logic is how drying is priced; reconstruction is finishes, flooring and cabinetry. Xactimate is the industry’s line-item language and is not reproduced here.

Type the restorer’s equipment-day rate, days on site, demolition, affected area, rebuild rate and contents. On the defaults (4 days at $400, $1,200 demo, 200 sq ft at $8, $500 contents) mitigation is $2,800 and reconstruction is $2,100. Those defaults are a worked example, not a survey. Replace every box with the numbers on the scope.

How much does water damage restoration cost?
Two invoices: mitigation (equipment, labour, days) and reconstruction (the building job). We will not print a national average. Category, area and local rebuild rates move it too far.
Why won’t you give me a $/sq ft?
Because a sourced, dated unit-cost table we can defend is not on this site, and inventing one would be a fake quote. Type the restorer’s figures.
Should mitigation and rebuild be the same company?
Often they are not. That is allowed and often better. Compare reconstruction once the building is dry.
