Find a restoration company for your property

Tell us what happened, where the property is and how far it has spread. We will use it to help connect you with restoration companies working in your area.

If the property is actively flooding, unsafe, or there is live electricity near water, this form is the wrong tool.

  1. Stop the source if you can reach it safely — the main water shut-off, or the supply valve at the appliance.
  2. Make it safe. Do not stand in water near live circuits or run extension leads through it. If you cannot reach the breaker panel without crossing water, leave it to the utility or the fire service.
  3. Leave the building if the structure, the air or the electrics are in question.
  4. Then call a local restoration company and your insurer, now, rather than waiting on us.

The order to work through, and what to photograph before anything is moved, is on the first 24 hours.

You tell us what happened, the zip code, how much of the property is affected and where you are in the process. A person reads it, answers your question, and where we can, introduces you to restoration companies working in your area. It is free, there is no obligation to hire anyone, and no restoration company receives your details until you agree to it.

  • Free, and no obligation to hire anyone
  • No restoration company gets your details until you agree
  • We are not a restoration contractor, an insurer or an adjuster

What actually happens next. Straight answer about what happens next: our company matching is still being built, so this is not an emergency dispatch line. If your property is actively flooding or unsafe, call a local restoration company or your insurer’s emergency number now. Tell us the project and the zip code if you are past that point. We will help you think it through, and nothing is passed to a restoration company unless you agree.

If you would rather talk to a person about what you are looking at, call (866) 582-8523. We can help you think it through — we cannot send anyone to the property.

Tell us what happened

Where is the property?

The zip code decides which companies can realistically reach you, and which state rules apply — several states licence mould assessment and remediation separately, and a few prohibit one firm from doing both.

What happened?

Pick the closest. If more than one applies — a fire that was put out with water, say — pick the main one and describe the rest further down.

When did it happen?

Time matters more here than in most trades. Wet building materials change category as they sit, and mould growth follows moisture rather than the calendar.

How much of the property is affected?

A rough answer is fine. Water travels further through a building than it looks like it has, so the honest answer is often the last one.

Where are you in the process?

This changes what is useful to you. Someone with drying equipment already running needs different information from someone who has just found it.

Tell us about it

Optional, and the most useful box on this form. What you saw and where, whether anything has been removed, whether a company has been on site, whether you have filed a claim, and anything you have already been handed in writing. If you have a scope or an estimate in front of you, say what it says.

How should we reach you?

Submitting this tells HyreRestore it may contact you about your enquiry. Your details are never sold, and no restoration company receives them until you have agreed to it. See our privacy policy.

Common questions before you submit

Does it cost anything to use this?

No. Submitting the form is free and it does not commit you to a restoration company, a scope of work or a claim. You decide whether to speak to anyone and whether to sign anything.

Who will contact me?

HyreRestore first. Our restoration company matching is still being built, so we would rather tell you that than imply a network we do not yet have. Where we can introduce companies working in your area we will say so before anything is passed on, and no restoration company receives your details until you have agreed to it.

Is this an emergency line?

No, and it is important that we are blunt about it. Nobody is dispatched from this form. If water is still running, if the property is unsafe, or if there is electricity near standing water, stop reading and deal with that first — the first 24 hours page sets out the order.

Do I have to give a phone number?

No. The phone field is optional and will stay optional. Consent to be called cannot lawfully be a condition of using a service, so the form sends without it.

Will my details be sold?

No. Introducing you to a professional you asked to be introduced to is not the same as selling a list, and we do not do the second thing. The privacy policy sets out what we store and how to have it deleted.

Can you tell me what this will cost?

Not from a form, and we will not pretend otherwise. Category of loss, how much of the building is wet, how long it takes to dry and what local rebuild rates are move the number too far for a remote figure to mean anything. What we publish instead is the structure of a restoration bill, which is what lets you check the one in front of you.

Should I sign what the company on my doorstep has handed me?

Not until you have read it. Emergency mitigation can usually begin under a limited work authorisation; the full contract can wait. Be particularly slow with an assignment of benefits, which hands your claim rights to the contractor.

Is HyreRestore a restoration company?

No. HyreRestore is an independent information resource and a platform intended to connect homeowners with restoration companies. We dry nothing, remediate nothing, rebuild nothing and adjust no claims, and we are not an insurer, a public adjuster or a law firm.
