Privacy policy
Short version: we collect what you type into a form, we do not sell it, and no restoration company receives it unless you agree first.
What we collect
If you send a homeowner inquiry, we receive:
- Your name, so we know who we are replying to;
- Your email address, as the reply route;
- Your zip code, to work out which state rules apply to your damage and, once matching opens, which restoration companies work there;
- Details of the damage: the kind of damage (water damage, fire or smoke damage, mold, storm or flood damage, reconstruction after mitigation, sewage or contaminated water, or not sure yet), when it happened, and anything you choose to write in your own words;
- On the longer inquiry form, also how much of the property is affected and where things stand, such as equipment already running or a dispute over coverage;
- On the homepage form, also whether you own, rent or manage the property;
- Your street address and phone number, so we can reply about the right property and call back if you ask us to;
- Details about the visit: every form submission also includes the page it was sent from, the referral source (the referring site or campaign tags in the link), and basic browser and device details (browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and time zone).
- How you heard about us, if you choose to say, and the page you sent the form from;
- Your consent choices: the box agreeing that we may contact you about the inquiry and, separately, the optional box for calls and texts.
If you run a restoration company and use the registration form, we receive the business details you enter there: company and contact name, email, phone, website, years operating, service area, the work you take on and decline, the certifications, licenses and insurance you tell us about, and any notes.
That is the only personal information this site asks for. There is no account to create, and no form asks for payment details.
The address box on the homepage form offers suggestions as you type. Those come from Photon, a public address-lookup service run by komoot. Producing them means what you have typed so far is sent to komoot as you type, before you submit, and whether or not you ever submit.
If you would rather that did not happen, leave the address box empty. The zip code is the only location we need, and the rest of the form works the same without it.
We use Google Analytics to understand which parts of the site people read. It records page views and interactions in aggregate. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how the page is used (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) and replays those sessions to us. Form fields are masked, so what you type is not captured.
Who processes it
Form submissions are delivered to our email inbox by FormSubmit, and a backup copy is stored in a Cloudflare database by this site’s own server code. Address suggestions in the homepage form come from Photon, run by komoot, which receives what you type into the address box in order to return matches.
The site is served as static files from Cloudflare, which processes standard request logs, including IP addresses, for security and delivery purposes.
What we do with it
We use your details to reply to you and to tell you when matching with restoration companies opens in your area.
HyreRestore expects to earn revenue in future by connecting homeowners with restoration companies. We will not pass your details to a company without telling you first and getting your agreement. We do not sell personal information.
Sending a form does not send anyone to your property, and it is not a work authorization or an assignment of your insurance benefits.
How long we keep it
Inquiries stay in our inbox until they are no longer useful to answer. Ask us to delete yours and we will, and we will confirm when it is done.
Your choices
To see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act; we apply the same handling to everyone regardless.
To make a request: call (866) 582-8523, or write to HyreRestore, 6975 Union Park Avenue, Midvale, UT 84047, United States.
You can also email hello@hyrerestore.com. The contact page lists every way to reach us.
Calls and texts (TCPA)
The inquiry forms ask for a phone number and, beside it, have an optional consent box. Giving a number is not consent to be called: leaving the box unchecked means we will not call or text you about it.
Checking that box is express written consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. It means HyreRestore may call and text the number you gave, including with an autodialer, an artificial or prerecorded voice, and SMS, about your inquiry.
It is not a condition of using this site or of anything we provide, and we do not pass the number to anyone else on the strength of it.
You can withdraw it whenever you like: reply STOP to any text, call (866) 582-8523, or write to HyreRestore, 6975 Union Park Avenue, Midvale, UT 84047, United States.
Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. We keep a record of when consent was given and when it was withdrawn, because we have to be able to show which one applies.
Children
The site is intended for homeowners and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes and the previous version is superseded from that date.
