Questions this calculator answers
- Should I file a water damage claim?
- Only your agent and your policy can answer that. This tool subtracts the deductible and warns that a claim can appear in loss history even when nothing is paid. Small losses often should not be filed. That is an honest outcome, not a slogan.
- What if the estimate is just above the deductible?
- The recoverable amount is small and the filing still exists. Ask the agent what a claim this size does to renewal before you open a number.
- Does HyreRestore want me to file so it can send a restorer?
- No. Matching is still being built. The CTA is not “file a claim.” Mitigation and filing are two different decisions.
