For restoration companies
Partner FAQ
The questions restoration companies ask, answered as they actually stand today. Where a commercial term has not been decided, the answer says so rather than describing a plan in the present tense.
Last updated .
The short version.
- Nothing costs anything, because nothing is for sale yet.
- Matching is still being built.
- Enquiries will never be resold to an open list, and homeowner details are never sold.
- Editorial coverage cannot be bought — that one is published in the editorial policy so it can be held against us.
Every question below is answered in full in the block at the foot of this page. If what you need is the model rather than the terms, read how it works, which sets out how an enquiry arrives, what one contains and what is never done. The hub page lists the open questions in a table, and the lead quality standard is what we hold ourselves to on anything we pass on.
If your question is not here
There are two routes, and they do different things.
- Ask it. Contact HyreRestore. If the answer is “we have not decided”, that is what you will be told, and it will end up on this page rather than in a private reply.
- Register the company. Use the registration form — free, unverified by submission, and not a contract.
Questions
What does it cost?
Nothing today, because there is nothing to buy. Restoration company matching is still being built, no pricing has been set, and no contract exists. We would rather leave the number blank than publish one that changes in three months. Registering your interest is free and commits you to nothing.
Is this pay-per-lead?
Undecided. Per enquiry, a subscription, or something else are all still open, and so are the price points. What is already settled is what it will not be: we take no percentage of a job, no share of a settlement and no assignment of benefits. Whatever the model becomes, it pays for an introduction, not for the work.
Are enquiries exclusive?
The principle is settled; the number is not. An enquiry will go to one company or to a small, stated number — never to an open list, and never resold onward. Selling one homeowner’s emergency to a dozen firms is the practice this model exists to avoid. Whether the answer is one or a small defined number, and whether it varies by damage type or market, is still being decided and will be published on how it works rather than negotiated privately.
Which areas do you cover?
Editorially, the site is national — the guides, the claims material and the tools are not geographically limited. Commercially, no market is live yet, and which markets open first has not been decided. Tell us the states, metros or counties you want work in when you register, and that is what we match against when there is something to match.
What do you verify?
Less than most directories imply, and we publish which. Company identity and operating history from public records, and licence status against the relevant state licensing board where the state licenses the work. What we do not verify today is IICRC certification with the certifying body, insurance certificates with the carrier, or homeowner reviews under a published policy — those are on the list and are marked as not done. How we vet is the full version, and nothing submitted on the registration form is verified by the act of submitting it.
How are enquiries delivered?
Not decided, and not live. Today a person reads every homeowner enquiry that arrives and replies to the homeowner; there is no automated routing, no partner dashboard and no API. How an accepted enquiry will reach you — and how quickly — is one of the open questions listed on the hub page. We are not going to promise a response time we have not built.
How do I report a bad enquiry?
By replying to the message it arrived in, or through contact, with what was wrong: wrong area, wrong damage type, a property that had already been dried, a number that does not connect. What has not been decided is the remedy — what qualifies as invalid, and whether a credit or a replacement follows. Since nothing is being charged, nothing is currently owed either way, and we would rather have the report than the accounting.
Can enquiries be limited to the work I actually want?
Yes, and we would rather you did limit them. Sewage, mould, contents pack-out and reconstruction are all disciplines good firms decline, and routing a job to a company that does not want it wastes your time and the homeowner’s. The registration form asks both what you handle and what you would rather not receive.
How do I get removed?
Ask, once, by any route — reply to any message from us or use contact. There is no notice period, no minimum term and no retention clause, because there is no contract. We remove the company from the register and stop sending. The privacy policy covers deletion of the data itself.
Does paying affect editorial coverage?
No, and that is the point rather than a disclaimer. Nothing in the guides, the service pages, the cost material, the claims material or the tools can be bought, no commercial relationship changes what any of them says, and being listed is never sold. The separation is written down in our editorial policy so it can be held against us. A recommendation that could be purchased would be worth nothing to the homeowner, and therefore worth nothing to you.
Do you subcontract work or take a cut of the job?
Neither. HyreRestore holds no restoration contracts, employs no technicians and owns no equipment, so there is nothing to subcontract. You contract directly with the homeowner and we are not a party to it. We take no percentage of the work and no share of any settlement.
Do you buy or sell claims?
No. We take no assignment of benefits, act as no one’s public adjuster, and have no financial interest in whether a homeowner files. We publish the case for being slow about signing an AOB; profiting from one would turn that page into a sales document.
What do you ask of participating companies?
The checklist we already publish to homeowners, applied to ourselves: IICRC certification held by named technicians, state licensing where the state requires it, liability and workers’ compensation cover, written scopes with a stated drying goal, moisture documentation handed to the homeowner, no pressure to sign on site, and answering the enquiries you accept. The homeowner-facing version is choosing a restoration company.
When does matching go live?
Undecided, and it is the question we are asked most. We would rather say that than imply a network we do not have. Companies on the interest register hear before this page changes.
